What Everyone Fighting Cancer Should Know

Here is something that should be part of the ÒtoolkitÓ for everyone fighting cancer. This is not a cure for cancer, but it might make the difference in overcoming it or not.

Dr. Jullian Whitaker reports in his ÒHealth and HealingÓ newsletter for March 2005 on Dr. Joseph GoldÕs hydrazine sulfate therapy. This is a drug that blocks the enzyme used in the liver to convert the excessive amounts of lactic acid produced by cancer cells into glucose. People with cancer often simply waste away, losing weight and energy, because of this unnecessary conversion process. Breaking this cycle siimply lengthens the life of cancer patients, which may assist in overcoming the illness.

A few things of note about this therapy. During the mid-1970s through the late-1980s numerous studies were conducted at medical centers in the US and USSR which proved the efficacy of this treatment. The treatment also in some cases caused tumor regression or stablization in addition to providing cancer patients with a better quality of life through increased energy, improved appetite, and weight gain. However, after this period ÒtaintedÓ studies were conducted which violated the regimen for using this drug. Not surprisingly, the results then proved to be inefficacious. In July 2004 Dr. Gold published ÒThe Truth About Hydrazine Sulfate -- Dr. Gold Speaks.Ó He states, ÒEvery single informed-consent, controlled clinical trial of hydrazine sulfate, performed in accordance with internationally accepted criteria and standards of scientific conduct -- without exception -- has indicated efficacy and safety of the drug.Ó He also details all the bad studies and the errors they made as well as some of the nefarious suppression of this therapy. The bottom line is here is something that works, is safe, and is reasonably inexpensive -- and yet the medical establishment is generally ignoring it. If you have cancer, you shouldn't make that mistake!

Hydrazine sulfate can be obtained by prescription at compounding pharmacies, or without prescription at www.lifepharma.com (dosage and details are given there). A one month supply costs about $30-45.

Here is Dr. GoldÕs standard protocol:
[day 1-3] take a 60 mg capsule before breakfast
[day 2-6] take a 60 mg capsule before breakfast, and another before dinner
[day 7+] take a 60 mg capsule before breakfast, one in mid-afternoon, and one before bed
[after 6 weeks] donÕt take any capsules for 1-2 weeks
repeat this cycle as needed
(note that a maintenance dosage might need to be only 2 capusules per day rather than 3)

Because this is a MAOI inhibitor, NEVER take hydrazine sulfate in conjuction with psychoactive drugs such as barbituates, tranquilizers, alcohol, or foods high in tyramine (cheeses, red wine, caviar, luncheon meats, fava beans, sauerkraut, yogurt, and miso). Note also that certain pain killers may also interact; check your drug information sheet if you are taking a pain killer. Doing any of these might cause side effects as well as certainly reduce the efficacy of the treatment.
